Singapore’s COVID-19 cases are on the rise.
Singapore health authorities have officially announced that the number of COVID-19 cases in Singapore has increased significantly compared to the previous year.

As the new coronavirus spreads across Asia, health authorities in Singapore and Hong Kong, China, have reported a 28% increase in COVID-19 cases as of May 3 compared to the previous year, with 14,200 people being hospitalized and the number of daily admissions increasing by 30%.
Hong Kong’s chief disease control officer Albert Au said the increase is due to the changing weather conditions and the current hot weather.
Thailand has had two COVID-19 cluster outbreaks so far, with the number doubling after the Songkran festival in April, and the festival is expected to be a cultural festival attended by all.
Idea has also advised people travelling to areas such as Singapore and Thailand, China, to be cautious.
A virus called Pipistrellus bat coronavirus HKU5-COVID-2, which is transmitted through bats like Covid-19, has been identified in a laboratory in Wuhan, China.
