Chinese woman smuggles biological agent into US

The US FBI has arrested two Chinese nationals working at a Mexican university in the US.

The US Department of Justice announced that 34-year-old Junyoung Leu and 33-year-old Yun Qing Jian, both Chinese nationals working at a Mexican university in the US, have been arrested on charges of smuggling prohibited items into the US and visa fraud.

On June 4, 2025, FBI agents arrested 34-year-old Chinese national Junyoung Leu and his 33-year-old colleague Yun Qing Jian, who were working at the University of Mexico in the United States, for smuggling a fungus called “FUSARIUM GERMANIUM” into the United States, and charged them with “AGRO TERRORISM”.

The two were arrested and charged with “agro terrorism” for allegedly using the fungus Fusarium germanium to create a terrorist weapon against the United States’ agricultural sector.

They also found that Yun Qing Jian had received permission from the Chinese government for this act and was a member of the Chinese Communist Party, which was testing his digital equipment, and that he was a member of the Chinese Communist Party.

Yun Qing Jian’s boyfriend Junyoung Leu was also researching the same fungus at the University of Mexico, and that Yun Qing Jian, who works at the University of Mexico, was also working at the University of Mexico. It has been revealed that Jian was smuggled through the Detroit Metropolitan Airport for research.

FUSARIUM GERMANIUM

This fungus can cause a disease called head blight on wheat, rice, and barley. If this fungus is attacked, the crop will not be harvested even after it has reached maturity, causing billions of dollars in economic losses and food shortages.
