Ilayaraja sues for using his song in Mrs & Mr movie without permission

Ilaiyaraja has filed a lawsuit against Vanitha for using his song Rathri Shivarathi in Vanitha’s Mrs & Mr movie without his permission. The court has said that the case will be taken up for hearing on Monday.

When Vanitha Vijaya Kumara told reporters in this regard,

This movie is an adult comedy movie and she has worked hard to make this movie.

Following this, reporters asked her if Ilayaraja had asked her permission and said that if the song was used, she would give it to him for free. When asked, she said that she had also watched the video and that with his blessings, she started this movie.

She also said that she had obtained permission from Sony Music regarding the song Rathri Shivarathi. She also left the house, crying that she had been playing in the Raja’s house since she was a child and that she wanted to be a daughter-in-law in Ilayaraja’s house. She also said that she would not ask her any questions and that she would tell her truth.
